Smirdex proudly participates in the Moscow International Tools Expo (MITEX) 2019, from 5th till 8th of November 2019 at «Expocenter» Krasnaya Presnya, Pavilion 2, Booth C1102.
We will be exhibiting in one of the most significant tools exhibitions in Russia and Eastern Europe, amongst leading industries for tools, hand tools, abrasives, fittings, diesel and electrical generators, professional cleaning and thermal equipment, snow blowers, from Russia and all around the world.
Demonstrating the efficiency of our products to the Russian and international market, is a duty as a key player in the global market. Therefore, Smirdex will be actively promoting both products and services in this year’s Moscow International Tools Expo.

1 August 2023The Federation of European Producers of Abrasives (FEPA) is an organization that was first established in 1955 in Paris, France.
As its mission statement suggests, it is ‘’committed to its members and missions, aside from representing the European abrasive industry, to promote abrasives produced in Europe, inform members on the evolution of the regulatory framework in Europe and worldwide, support the producers with a range of technical, legal and scientific services, and anticipate future challenges in the abrasives sector’’. It is an engaged partner to the European Union, interacting on behalf of its members with European institutions, non-governmental organisations and other stakeholders. FEPA represents the four main product segments of the European abrasive industry, namely the bonded and coated abrasives industries, the superabrasives industries and the grain manufacturing industries.
Our company, Smirdex S.A. and its management, decided to become a member of FEPA for the first time in 2023.
This decision reflects on the company’s commitment to manufacture products made with the highest quality standards, from its infancy in 1981. By becoming a member of FEPA, our company’s goals and standards are validated and strengthened even further, illustrating to the abrasives market its long term vision and showing the pathway of its future endeavors.

26 February 2020On Monday 17th February 2020, smirdex team welcomed at its premises a group of Russian customers. A 2-day theoretical and technical training took place, all products were presented and a constructive discussion followed.
Customers also visited the old city of Xanthi and the beautiful town of Kavala. Certificates were given at the end of the session and all enjoyed a farewell dinner.

4 October 2019Smirdex will be present and exhibiting at Woodex 2019, in Moscow, between 3-6 December 2019 at Crocus Expo, Pavilion 1.
Demonstrating the latest equipment and technologies on the fields of woodworking, furniture production and wood waste utilisation, Smirdex will be participating in the exhibition amongst the most important representatives of the abrasives’ industry from all around the world.
Woodex is supported by the European Federation of Woodworking Machinery Manufactures (EUMABOIS), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Federal Forestry Agency, The Government of Moscow, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation; a fact that signifies the importance of the event.
